February Escape

So the hubby and I will be escaping this most depressing of Chicago months by heading to Maui for a few weeks. Actually, we will make a brief stop in Pasadena for a few days to visit some friends, but then it is off to the Valley Isle. I found this old postcard today, purchased on my first trip to Hawaii when I was ten years old. See y'all in March!

How fantastic is this folk art Valentine by Lindsay Carmichael? I imagine the couple as two of my Ukrainian ancestors, wearing their handmade embroidered costumes.

My Geek Valentine Dream

Liz and Don, sittin' in a tree...I simply cannot contain my excitement for Jon Hamm's guest spots on 30 Rock. They are my dream romance. All that and he bakes? Ay Dios mio! So I've decided that this year I am only sending out my Liz and Don valentines. Deal with it.

Lust

Ever since I saw this Commodore Datasette on the Muxtape blog, I've wanted one. I think it's the prettiest retro object I've seen in some time. I also have this pipe dream of plugging it into my laptop and downloading my old mixes. Not that that would work or anything.

I haven't lived. I've died a few times.
